Are the sessions confidential?
Yes, therapy is confidential. Your therapist is bound by strict ethical and legal guidelines to protect your privacy. Everything discussed in therapy stays between you and your therapist, with a few exceptions, such as situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. These exceptions will be explained to you in detail in the consent form that you will be provided by your therapist to sign while initiating your therapy.
How do I know I need therapy?
If you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or stuck in patterns that are difficult to change, therapy might be helpful for you. It's also beneficial if you're facing specific challenges such as relationship issues, work stress, or major life changes. Therapy is a supportive space to explore your feelings and find constructive ways to address them.
How many sessions will I need?
The duration of therapy varies depending on the individual's needs, goals, and the complexity of the issues being addressed. Some people may benefit from just a few sessions, while others might find long-term therapy more beneficial. During your initial sessions, you and your therapist can discuss a timeline that best suits your situation.
Do you do in person/ virtual sessions?
Currently we are providing online sessions only. We will update you soon with our new location for the office in Whitefield, Bangalore.
What if I don't feel a connection with my therapist?
A strong therapeutic relationship is key to effective therapy. If you don't feel a connection with your therapist, it’s important to share your concerns. I am fortunate enough to be taking therapy sessions from Ashima. She is an astute listener and makes you understand things so patiently. Honestly after taking my 1st session I really felt better than before. Her ways to manage anxiety, stress are really very simple, easy to practise and for me it was most efficient. My mental health improved a lot better after taking multiple sessions from her. Ashima patiently understands and more importantly listens to the problem and sometimes shares her own experiences which helps you to cope with your situations.

I had few sessions with Ashima and she was amazing. What I liked most is her professionalism. She is very clear with her approach towards me and my situation, there were no nonsense talks that might trigger me. She is very calm and very positive. At times, we adults also needs handholding like kids and she did that with me. I could easily and smoothly introspect and understand and work on the remedies she highlighted. Happy to get and will continue with her without a second thought. If online therapy was so easy with her, I am sure face to face would have been brilliant.
